A Quiet Babymoon Escape in Jimbaran 🌿

Our 6-Night Stay at Cross Bali Breakers Resort (Deluxe Pool Villa)website

In late April 2025, my husband and I went on our babymoon before life gets a whole lot busier.
We stayed at Cross Bali Breakers Resort in Jimbaran for 6 nights, and honestly – it was the perfect spot to do absolutely nothing and just relax.

🏡 We Stayed in a Deluxe Pool Villa

The room was spotless, comfy, and felt really private.
What truly made it special was the little touch – we let them know it was a babymoon and they surprised us with towel art on the bed and even delivered a celebratory cake to our room.
It was sweet, thoughtful, and made us feel genuinely welcome 👏

And the private pool? Just amazing. We practically lived in it.

Cross Bali Breakers Resort

🚗 Tucked Away… But Peacefully So

The resort is located pretty deep in the hills of Jimbaran,
which means stepping out for a quick errand isn’t exactly a thing 😅

We rented a small car and thank goodness we did – the roads are narrow, winding, and not at all big-car-friendly.
Seriously, don’t even think about bringing a van.
Scooters would’ve been easier, but as a pregnant woman, a car was our safest option.

There’s also a free resort shuttle that can take you to a nearby beach, which is a handy option if you’re planning to stay put most of the time.

🍴 Breakfast was Fine, Restaurant Small but Pricey

Breakfast included a small buffet plus a rotating à la carte menu with three choices each morning.
It wasn’t jaw-dropping, but it was tasty and filling.

The resort restaurant itself was definitely on the pricier side (for Bali), and the portions were a bit underwhelming.
Still, flavour-wise, it wasn’t bad!

Oh – and hot tip: there’s a little Mexican restaurant right outside the resort, and it’s a hidden gem. Definitely give it a try if you’re after something casual but tasty 🌮

🏊 4 Pools with Different Vibes (and Water Quality)

Here’s the pool breakdown:

  • 💦 Main pool by the restaurant – biggest, most crowded
  • 🌿 Small pool near reception – quiet and almost always empty
  • 🌅 Lower pool – peaceful but water quality wasn’t great
  • 🫧 Private pool in our villa – the real MVP 😎

💆 Spa Experience – Private, Relaxing… But Pricey

We booked a private massage at the on-site spa on the day we arrived.
It was quiet, clean, and super relaxing – exactly what I needed after a flight.

That said… the price was about 3x what you’d pay at a local shop.
Still, worth it for the pampered babymoon moment 😂

🚖 Getting There from the Airport

It took us about 40 minutes by taxi from the airport to the resort.
Jimbaran itself is close, but since the resort is located up in the hills, expect a bit more drive time than usual.

💰 Booking Tips & Final Thoughts

  • We paid around AUD 290 per night at the time
  • Best to compare prices on Hotels.com, Agoda, and Klook
  • Booking direct wasn’t cheaper when we looked

✅ Who This Resort Is For

✔️ Couples or families wanting a peaceful, quiet escape
✔️ People who love lounging in their own private villa
❌ Those wanting to explore different parts of Bali daily – the location’s a bit remote

This was exactly the kind of relaxing, slow-paced trip we needed.
Time to just be together, rest, and soak it all in before our world gets a little noisier and a lot fuller.
